Notes on the Purchase of Knob Creek Water by Aqua

Customers of the Knob Creek Properties, Inc water system recently received a
Notice to Customers from the State of North Carolina Utilities Commission Raleigh indicating that Aqua North Carolina, Inc. is planning to purchase the water system and increase rates.
Correspondence concerning the proposed rate increase, service problems, or the public hearing should be directed to the Public Staff.
The Public Staff is authorized by statute to represent consumers in proceedings before the Commission. Written statements to the Public Staff should include any information which the writer wishes to be considered by the Public Staff in its investigation of the matter, and such statements should be addressed to Mr. Robert Gruber, Executive Director, Public Staff, 4326 Mail Service Center, Raleigh, North Carolina, 27699-4326. Written statements may also be faxed to (919) 715-6704 or emailed to david.furr@psncuanc.gov.
The Commission has scheduled the application for public hearing at 9:30 a.m., on Wednesday, April 3, 2013, in The Community Service Building, Downstairs Conference Room, 98 East Morgan Street, Brevard, North Carolina.
